Fire Extinguishers, automatic suppression systems and fire hoses require that an annual inspection is performed by a qualified professional as per the National fire code.
Kitchen Fire Suppression and other automatic suppression systems (e.g. Novec, FM-200, C02) require a semi-annual inspection. A bylaw sticker filled out by a qualified professional with their inspector’s license number is required to be affixed to the front of the life safety system (Automatic suppression systems and fire hoses)
Life safety systems are required to be maintained in operating condition, bylaw stickers required will display if a system has deficiencies found during the annual inspection.
Fire Extinguisher are tested to the NFPA 10 standards by a technician that has been certified by a manufacturer.
